Aluminium is a lightweight, silver-white,
ductile and malleable, metallic element. It
is the most abundant metal in the Earth's
crust, of which it makes up about 8% by mass.
It is an excellent conductor of electricity
and oxidizes easily, the layer of oxide on
its surface making it highly resistant to
tarnish.
